VITA
Carter Smalling was born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA and grew up in Seattle, Washington. In 2018 he began his ballet training at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet in Redmond, Washington. In 2021 he continued his training in the Boston Ballet School Post-Graduate Program. In September 2022 he came to Stuttgart to attend the John Cranko School from which he graduated in summer 2024.
In 2021 he reached the Semi-Final of the Youth America Grand Prix the 2nd Place Senior Men’s Contemporary.
During the 2024/25 season Carter Smalling is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
