Igor Stravinsky: Until today this composer’s name stands for innovation and revolution – just like the names of the three choreographers who will reinterpret  his music for the 21st century for this new mixed repertory evening. The internationally renowned Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is creating his first work for the Stuttgart Ballet with a new version of The Firebird. The two Stuttgart Ballet resident choreographers are also contributing works to this program: Demis Volpi creates a new L’histoire du Soldat in dance and Marco Goecke’s Le Chant du Rossignol will be performed for the first time in Stuttgart.
